Meet the crew
No subcontractors. No temp labor. Every person on your jobsite is a full-time employee of Siding Long Island, insured, and has been with us for years. You will see the same faces from day one to final walkthrough.
The people you will work with
Three in the office, three foremen and seniors, six more on the installation crew. Here are the names behind the hard hats.
Owner
Runs the company and the crews, walks every job before it starts, and signs the warranty.
Estimator & Project Manager
Writes the written quote, manages the schedule, and is your point of contact from signing to final walk-through.
Office Manager
Handles permits, invoicing, insurance certificates and scheduling.
Lead Installer / Foreman
Runs the primary crew. Fiber cement and cedar work.
Lead Installer / Foreman
Runs the second crew. Vinyl and insulated vinyl, with most of the Suffolk County work.
Senior Installer
Trim, flashing and detail work — the corners and window wraps.
Plus six more installers on the crew. We keep a tight team on purpose. Every person knows every other person.
What “all employees” actually means
What this crew installs
Each material has its own install spec and its own detail work. Here is what we work with and where to read the full detail on each one.
James Hardie fiber cement
Hardie is detailed differently than vinyl — fastener spacing, clearance at grade, and joint flashing all have to match the published manufacturer spec or the finish warranty does not hold. We install to that spec on every job.
James Hardie siding on Long IslandCertainTeed and Mastic vinyl
CertainTeed Monogram 46 and the insulated lines, plus Mastic Quest. Registering the manufacturer warranty depends on the install matching the published instructions, so we document the assembly as we go.
Vinyl siding installation on Long IslandCedar and engineered cedar
Real Western Red Cedar and engineered cedar from Maibec. A different trade entirely — coursing, stainless fastening and back-priming matter far more than they do on vinyl, and the same crew does it every time.
Cedar shake siding on Long IslandBoard and batten and composite
Vertical board-and-batten and composite cladding, including the trim and furring detail that keeps the batten lines straight and the wall drained behind them.
