Siding Installation & Repair on Long Island

We install three kinds of siding and we repair all of them. That is the whole menu. No roofs, no windows, no gutters. Just the thing we know best, installed on the same Capes, Colonials, and Hi-Ranches we grew up around.

Every siding job on Long Island starts with a free walk-through where the owner or our estimator measures the exterior, checks the sheathing condition, and gives you an honest read on whether you need a full reside or just a repair. We pull the permit in Nassau or Suffolk, our crew shows up when we said they would, and when the dumpster leaves your driveway, we sweep the yard twice with a magnetic rake. 420+ homes since 2007, two counties, one trade done right.

More material options

Beyond vinyl, Hardie, and cedar.

Five more material and style options we install regularly across Nassau and Suffolk County.

Fiber Cement Siding

Fiber cement is the substrate behind James Hardie and several other brands — non-combustible, termite-proof, and resistant to salt-air corrosion. We install the full range of fiber cement lines, branded and unbranded.

  • Non-combustible, will not rot
  • Factory-primed and field or factory finished
  • Manufacturer-dependent, typically 30 years on substrate, 10 on workmanship
$30,000 – $56,000
See details

Treated Wood Siding

Pressure-treated wood siding gives the natural wood look at a lower cost than cedar, with the same maintenance commitment: periodic staining or sealing to protect against Long Island's coastal humidity.

  • Natural wood grain and texture
  • Lower material cost than real cedar
  • Needs periodic refinishing
$20,000 – $36,000
See details

Board and Batten Siding

Vertical boards with a batten strip covering each seam — the modern farmhouse look. We install it in vinyl, engineered wood, or composite depending on budget and maintenance preference.

  • Modern farmhouse and craftsman styling
  • Available in vinyl, wood, or composite
  • Popular for gable accents and full exteriors
$14,500 – $26,000 in vinyl, up to $34,000 – $60,000 in composite
See details

Insulated Vinyl Siding

Standard vinyl with a foam backing laminated to the panel, adding rigidity and R-value to the wall assembly. A meaningful upgrade for Long Island homes trying to cut heating and cooling costs.

  • Adds insulation value to the wall
  • More impact-resistant than hollow vinyl
  • Lifetime manufacturer, 10 years on workmanship
$22,000 – $34,000
See details

Composite Cladding

Engineered composite panels built from wood fiber and polymers, designed to resist moisture, insects, and rot without the maintenance cycle real wood requires.

  • Resists moisture, insects, and rot
  • No repainting cycle like real wood
  • Manufacturer-dependent, typically 25-50 years, 10 on workmanship
$34,000 – $60,000

Choosing a contractor

How to Find the Best Siding Company on Long Island

Long Island has dozens of siding contractors, and telling the good ones from the bad ones is harder than it should be. Every website says "licensed and insured" and "quality work." Here is what actually separates a crew that will do your house right from one that will leave you with a callback file.

Check for dual-county licensing. Nassau and Suffolk each require a separate Home Improvement Contractor license. A contractor licensed only in Nassau cannot legally pull a Suffolk permit, and vice versa. We hold active HIC licenses in both counties (Nassau #198901, Suffolk #HI-69024). Ask any contractor for their numbers and verify them with the county clerk.

Ask about installation experience with your material.Fastener spacing, clearance at grade, and joint flashing all have to match the manufacturer's published spec for James Hardie fiber cement or CertainTeed vinyl to hold its warranty. Ask any contractor how many installs of your chosen material they have done and to show you the spec sheet.

Ask to see houses in your town. Not stock photos, not renders. Actual completed jobs on actual Long Island streets. We have done 420+ homes across Nassau and Suffolk and can point you to finished work in most towns. Check our portfolio for examples or call us and we will tell you the nearest house to yours that we have done.

It depends on budget, location, and maintenance tolerance. Vinyl is the most popular choice for LI homeowners because it handles salt air, requires no painting, and typically runs $14,500 to $26,000 for a full reside. James Hardie fiber cement is the premium pick for coastal homes within a mile of the shore because it does not expand, contract, or degrade in salt spray. Cedar shake is the luxury option for colonials and split-levels where curb appeal is the priority. We install all three and will tell you honestly which one fits your house and your budget.
