Siding Installation & Repair on Long Island
We install three kinds of siding and we repair all of them. That is the whole menu. No roofs, no windows, no gutters. Just the thing we know best, installed on the same Capes, Colonials, and Hi-Ranches we grew up around.
Every siding job on Long Island starts with a free walk-through where Mike or Ryan measures the exterior, checks the sheathing condition, and gives you an honest read on whether you need a full reside or just a repair. We pull the permit in Nassau or Suffolk, our crew shows up when we said they would, and when the dumpster leaves your driveway, we sweep the yard twice with a magnetic rake. 420+ homes since 2013, two counties, one trade done right.
Three materials. All installed the way the manufacturer actually wrote the spec.
We picked these three because they are the ones that hold up on Long Island homes in our own portfolio over the last decade. We know their failure modes cold.
We also repair what other crews installed wrong.
Most of the repair calls we get started as someone else’s install. We show up, tell you what failed, and fix the specific thing that broke. No pressure to replace the whole exterior.
The things we will happily tell you we are not good at.
If you need any of the below, we will send you to a guy we trust who does it well. Pretending to be good at something we have not practiced is how people get bad work done on their house.
How to Find the Best Siding Company on Long Island
Long Island has dozens of siding contractors, and telling the good ones from the bad ones is harder than it should be. Every website says "licensed and insured" and "quality work." Here is what actually separates a crew that will do your house right from one that will leave you with a callback file.
Check for dual-county licensing. Nassau and Suffolk each require a separate Home Improvement Contractor license. A contractor licensed only in Nassau cannot legally pull a Suffolk permit, and vice versa. We hold active HIC licenses in both counties (Nassau #H2811200000, Suffolk #57889-H). Ask any contractor for their numbers and verify them with the county clerk.
Look for manufacturer certifications, not just claims. A James Hardie Preferred Contractor designation means Hardie has verified the installer's training and reviewed their jobsite work. A CertainTeed 5-Star certification is their highest tier, earned through volume, quality audits, and customer scores. Fewer than 5% of New York installers qualify. Dual certification in both is rare on Long Island. We hold both.
Ask to see houses in your town. Not stock photos, not renders. Actual completed jobs on actual Long Island streets. We have done 420+ homes across Nassau and Suffolk and can point you to finished work in most towns. Check our portfolio for examples or call us and we will tell you the nearest house to yours that we have done.
Siding installation questions, answered.
Every one of these is a question we hear on the phone every week. Real answers, no hedging.
(516) 529-2942It depends on budget, location, and maintenance tolerance. Vinyl is the most popular choice for LI homeowners because it handles salt air, requires no painting, and runs $14,500 to $26,000 for a full reside. James Hardie fiber cement is the premium pick for coastal homes within a mile of the shore because it does not expand, contract, or degrade in salt spray. Cedar shake is the luxury option for colonials and split-levels where curb appeal is the priority. We install all three and will tell you honestly which one fits your house and your budget.
